Couldn’t monitor the whole day and only set up some alerts, expected a more bullish run today, but was wrong.
$PTON 90c π -no trigger, well technically it triggered, but gapped $4 at open from yesterday and didn’t continue to run (watched the 60m), so no trade for me $BABA 180c π - also opened with a gap and dropped and filled the gap below, no trade. $BYND 110c π― - this was pretty difficult, my conditional order triggered but - thankfully - got no LMT fill (1.
Wild day, still bullish, mixed feelings for tomorrow. But recap of today was great. Let’s have a look:
$BABA 160p π -no trigger, run bullish, see below $PYPL 275c π - triggered right at open, closed with 57% (was up to 80%) π°οΈ $BLNK 30c π - trade of the day. .33 -> .50 in 9 minutes = 50% π°οΈ $ATVI 77c π― - trigger, went down, still in, currently 10% up, expecting a run tomorrow above 77.
Trying something different this week by providing more context to my #SundaySwing ideas I post every Sunday on Twitter. Since I don’t like Twitter threads, but I have a neat little Micro.blog (you’re reading on it right now!), I post my ideas in longform content here and the link to that post is shared on Twitter, like my Daily Recap posts.
So this week I’ll add an explanation and also a chart from TrendSpider to explain my idea in more detail.
Some winners, some losers, still thinking that gap on $SPY & $QQQ will get filled, but was wrong the last 2 days. So maybe we just go on and on? π€·ββοΈ
Let’s see how my setups for Lotto Friday ποΈ worked out:
$TWTR 64c π triggered and failed
$CHWY 62.5p π triggered and failed
$ATVI 76p - no trigger
$NVDA 220c π triggered at open LMT (Profit taker) order was working and helping here to get & out quick on profits.
couldn’t be more happier with todays outcome! still trying and backtesting everyday and planning trades with triggers for the next day, getting better, now consistency is main focus, not the profits.
I had 4 conditional MKT orders set up as posted yesterday with the triggers I prodvided. Let’s see which triggered and how they played out:
$DKNG 48p - π no trigger
$ORCL 95p - π no trigger
$V 220p - π 1.
Pretty choppy, work has my full attention at the moment so I didn’t set up any alerts for today and only traded one swing play.
$SPY 11/15 400p, got in at 2.01, set a tight STP and also LMT order with 25%. Let’s see how this swing works out. Currently after-hours the 25% profit are near. Reason for the entry was the 3-2 on the monthly, which triggered not today, but today I felt confident to enter that trade.
$SPY (Monthly chart)[https://share.trendspider.com/chart/SPY/37448oiqn5a] looks pretty bearish currently. Lots of targets on the downside down to 400 in November 3-2-2d? #TheStrat
Finding good looking Bullish setups π for tomorrow is really hard currently.
So I’ll watch the overnight session and see what the futures will do in the morning (German time!)
Since it’s OPEX week, I probably go light this week and not burn money. #TheStrat
What a market. Based of my #SundaySwing Ideas from yesterday I only traded two plays today.
$BA 240c π triggered my 229.94 weekly 2u, I got in at 1.45, exited at 1.84 30% (with a proper LMT order I could’ve sold these at around 1.95) $AAPL 155c - triggered as well, but no good setup, so no trade.
The 2nd play, was $AMD on the breakout on the 60m for a short 108c 10/15 1.
A short recap today, because I only did one trade and stayed away for the rest of the day. Market was kind of choppy and no big moves expected, so cash gang rest of the day.
$QCOM 127p π triggered right at open, got in .55 -> .78 (was even up at .85) = 40%
TDOC 128p π triggered and didn’t moved down, failed
$DDOG 140p π triggered and didn’t moved down, failed
$ORCL possible 1-2-2 into tomorrow looks bearish. Top of the triangle, rejected so down we go into the low 90s? #TheStrat

First day of the week I was back on my desk to trade, the timeout was really helpful to start fresh and it was a great start!
Had only 4, really there were 5 trades set up and played with conditional orders based on the underlying in TWS (IBKR) a bit, which was good and bad at the same time. $DIS was atrocious, seriously, everything else worked fine. I’ll show you:
What an ending of such a volatile week with SPY going from 427 up to 435 in 4-5 hours is an insane move. However I’m still bearish and think that Puts will be the play in October.
Anyway, let’s se how the triggers from yesterday played out today.
$NFLX 600p π - triggered right at open since NFLX gapped down, but drilled down further and the 600p went ITM. Entry 2.
Another day that started out pretty choppy without even predicting a direction. Got burned by a few trades that had clear triggers but still went against me, right after I entered them. I think you know what I mean, you enter a traded and instantly it reverses the direction and stops you out. Happened a few times today and I should stopped trading but still traded and turned my green day into a red one because of end of market day.
Can’t stress this enough, on days like today when something triggers based on a #TheStrat setup and goes against you, you need proper risk management, always!
This way you’ll lose only a small amount and you don’t blow up your entire account.
